The excitement builds as Street Fighter 6 approaches the end of Season 3 with a significant update on the horizon. Fans can soon look forward to a slew of new content and the highly anticipated introduction of Ingrid.

Capcom disclosed the schedule for server maintenance related to this upcoming patch, which promises the largest array of features yet since the game’s release earlier this year. The service will be suspended on May 27 from 7 p.m. PDT until midnight PDT.

During the maintenance window, all online features—including matchmaking, the Battle Hub, in-game shop, and leaderboards—will be unavailable. Players can download the update soon after it starts, allowing those who purchased the Year 3 Character Pass to enjoy Ingrid in offline modes.

Ingrid is the highlight of this update, marking her first significant appearance in the Street Fighter series. Known for her mystical abilities, Ingrid will join the roster as a technical zoner equipped with various projectile moves, Sun Crests to enhance her attacks, and teleportation skills.

Additionally, the update will introduce fresh game modes after a considerable wait. Players can look forward to the Avatar Arcade and Random Avatar Matches, both designed to enhance customization options for avatars. These features allow users to face off against CPUs or other players to earn extra rewards and accessories.

The Avatar Arcade mode will facilitate leveling up mastery with main cast members, providing a more effective way to learn their playstyles and unlock alternate outfits without the extensive grind associated with the World Tour mode.

This patch includes exciting new outfits for characters like Ingrid, Alex, Sagat, and C. Viper, who will all have access to their third outfit DLC. DriveTech Wear costumes will be made free for all 30 characters in the game.

While Capcom has a history of including balance adjustments with the introduction of final DLC characters in a season, it remains uncertain whether this update will follow suit. A significant balance update had been implemented in March, making the current focus more on new content.

As players await the complete patch notes for this critical Season 3 update, there may still be surprises in store regarding unrevealed features in the new modes.
