Apple is reportedly developing a new MacBook Pro featuring a touchscreen OLED display that will incorporate the Dynamic Island functionality and a hole-punch camera.

The introduction of the Dynamic Island will replace the traditional notch, maximizing screen space for users. This feature will enable interactive elements tailored to specific applications or Mac functionalities.
Apple is revising macOS for better touch interaction. Users will be able to tap or click on on-screen elements, with controls adapting based on the input method. Enhanced touch features may include familiar gestures like pinch-to-zoom and rapid scrolling.
This upcoming MacBook Pro signifies a notable shift towards touch interactions. While previous attempts, such as the OLED Touch Bar, met mixed reviews, this new model will offer users the flexibility to use either touch or mouse gestures.
The design may feature a thinner profile while resembling existing models, and traditional elements like the keyboard and trackpad will remain unchanged. Apple is expected to release both 14-inch and 16-inch OLED versions.
This spring, updates will enhance the MacBook Pro lineup with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, while OLED models will use the forthcoming M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. The OLED variants are anticipated to launch towards the end of 2026, suggesting two refresh cycles of the MacBook Pro that year.
