Reports confirm that an Argentine studio has been collaborating with Telltale Games on the sequel since last year. Intriguingly, there are indications of a current-generation update to the original *The Wolf Among Us*, with work reportedly underway at the partnering studio.
Images Suggest Progress for a TWAU Remake
The Argentine team known as Trick Studio is the co-developer with Telltale Games. They have experience working with Telltale, having previously contributed to *The Expanse: A Telltale Series*.
Several images shared online imply considerable progress on the potential remaster. These visuals, along with screenshots of familiar locations and menu designs, suggest that the beloved title from 2013 may be getting a modern facelift.
One image reveals a development build featuring Ichabod Crane’s office, while another highlights a close-up shot of Crane’s desk with technical details indicating ongoing enhancements.
Additionally, there’s a revisited classic menu from the original game, reinforcing the likelihood that this project is linked to the earlier title.
Telltale Games has shifted its project focus to Unreal Engine 5 for the sequel, suggesting they’re not relying on outdated assets.
Key signs of the remaster’s ongoing development come from Trick Studio’s website, which previously displayed two distinct projects listed as early as March 2025: one placeholder for *The Wolf Among Us 2* and the other for a port of the original game.
While speculation exists regarding a potential port for the Nintendo Switch, recent reports suggest a broader upgrade for various modern consoles. Currently, the original game remains unoptimized for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, accessible through backward compatibility.
Officials from Telltale Games are expected to clarify the status of this port or remaster. As the sequel’s anticipated release date approaches, an announcement regarding an upgrade would likely generate significant buzz.
