EverQuest Legends Ready to Debut on PC in July 2026

Daybreak Game Company, in collaboration with Game Jawn, has unveiled plans for EverQuest Legends, a fresh take on the classic MMORPG that originally launched in 1999. This title is scheduled for a July 2026 release, with a closed beta set to begin in April.

While the original EverQuest (1999) and EverQuest II (2004) continue to receive updates, the gaming landscape has transformed significantly over the past 27 years. EverQuest Legends aims to capture the essence of the original while introducing features that cater to a broader audience. This reimagining emphasizes a more relaxed gaming experience, allowing players to explore solo or in small groups.

EverQuest Legends incorporates numerous enhancements to streamline gameplay. Players will be able to select three different classes for each character and enjoy systems for upgrading equipment. Daybreak Games envisions this new installment appealing to a wide array of players—whether veterans of the franchise, lapsed fans, or newcomers.

This newly reimagined edition retains the magic and nostalgia of the original while infusing modern gameplay experiences. Designed for solo and casual play, it can also accommodate small groups of up to four players for raids of up to eight players. The entire game can be enjoyed solo if desired.

Players can create robust characters by choosing up to three classes simultaneously—such as pairing a rogue, paladin, and wizard—and access new methods to enhance their gear.
